Squads - Trampolining

Trampolining is a Gymnastics Olympic discipline where the gymnast performs individual skills including somersaults in a range of shapes with a range of twists on a trampoline. Unlike tumbling trampolining looks for the gymnast to start and finish on the same spot. In competition a 10 bounce routine is performed.

At Pinewood the direction is to aim for success; building on high level coaching, realising each individual’s competitive ambitions and allowing training to be fun. Pinewood Trampoline provides the opportunity for individuals to become part of the scene of competitive trampolining for all ages.

3 years to Starting Full Time School Age:

These classes are unaccompanied, although parents are required to stay on site and encouraged to watch via the CCTV camera and invited to watch progress on the last week of each term. One teacher, with a maximum of 5 children over 2 trampolines (at teachers discretion), will teach the British Gymnastics Award scheme in a fun and little persons way. Once your child starts full time school they will either be offered an after school slot with the club (providing the have been with us for at least 2 terms) or directed to more suitable recreational classes in the area.

6 Years + and Adults

Sessions run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 4.00pm onwards. Exact timings and frequency of attendance would need to be discussed after an assessment.

We welcome any parent with a child, or adult, who would like to trampoline to contact us so that we may chat through trampolining opportunities available to them. Pinewood has a strong link with several recreational feeder clubs and schools and the club can offer assessment sessions for those who have participated in formally taught trampolining classes and are showing potential and / or have a  keen interest in competing, or  who have a participated in compatible sports.

We welcome those with special needs and provision for integration or 1:1 can be provided.
