⭐️This has been copied from someone else- for all those gym parents!⭐️

You start by taking your 3 year old to gymnastics class as something to fill an hour of their week and give them an outlet for their energy. They come home from class and continue to jump, climb and tumble around the house - asking every day there after "do I go to gym today?"
Next thing you know, you're complaining about hours spent driving back and forth to the gym, the later-than-you'd-like trainings (on a school night?!), time sitting and waiting in the waiting area for classes to end when you have a million other places to be, and don't even get me started on the money- fees, leotards, grips, leotards, competitions, leotards. Did I mention leotards?
You fret and worry that a "normal" childhood is passing them by. They’re not on the hockey team, they’re not in the music club. They’re rarely at the dinner table because training is almost every night of the week. Family holidays are planned around summer intensives.
But before you know it, they have gone to their last gym training and discarded their last leotard and it's all over too soon. When it's all over and they have trained for the last time, will you remember the hours, the money, the worry of the physical toll? My guess is "no". You will remember the gifts gymnastics has given them: the ability to prioritize and multi-task, a strong, flexible body, the ability to handle pressure and last minute changes. You will be grateful you are sending your children out into the world with a strong work ethic and a long attention span. You will have a great sense of peace knowing your children are part of a strong circle of young people equally capable of lifting one another up when the road is rough, as they are at celebrating one another's triumphs. In the end, you can pat yourself on the back because taking them to that first gymnastics class was one of the best parenting decisions made.
